The Role:
The Maintenance Technician Level 1 supports the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of Bullard’s Cynthiana and Lexington facilities. This role performs preventive maintenance, completes work orders, janitorial duties, and carries out routine facilities tasks under the guidance of the Facilities and Maintenance Manager. This is a foundational position for individuals with a mechanical mindset looking to build a career in industrial maintenance.
Schedule: Tuesday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Must be able to work on call, rotate across any shift, and work overtime as needed.
Pay: $26-28 Starting pay will depend on the candidate’s demonstrated skills, aptitude, and abilities.
What You’ll Do: (Essential Functions of this Role)
- Follow preventive maintenance (PM) procedures, work instructions, and maintenance manuals with minimal supervision.
- Complete work orders accurately and document maintenance activities within the maintenance management system.
- Perform routine maintenance, janitorial, and general facilities support tasks safely and effectively using basic hand tools.
- Support the upkeep, cleanliness, and overall condition of the facility by following established procedures and completing assigned work in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, air, and water systems, and continue building knowledge of how individual systems support overall equipment performance.
- Follow all safety rules and expectations at all times without exception; consistently use required PPE correctly and recognize basic hazards including electrical, mechanical, and chemical risks.
- Complete assigned tasks safely, accurately, and reliably; follow instructions, procedures, and daily work expectations, and know when to seek support for unfamiliar situations.
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with team members and other departments; maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a supportive team environment.
- Remain open to feedback, coaching, and learning opportunities to continue growing in the role.
What You Bring: (Education, Experience, & Required Skills/Abilities)
- Required: High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Technical school, vocational training, or related maintenance experience.

Nice to Have- (preferred skills)
- Experience with eMaint or similar work order platforms.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or facilities maintenance environment.
How We Work
- Location: On-site at the Cynthiana, KY Americas Operations facility, with regular visits to the Lexington, KY facility.
- Travel: Up to 10% travel, primarily between Cynthiana and Lexington, KY facilities.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and reaching required. Must have handling ability, finger dexterity, and the ability to twist, turn, push, pull, and climb stairs and ladders. Must be able to work from elevated platforms. Ability to work in varying temperatures and industrial environments. Must be capable of wearing all required PPE including face shields, electrical PPE, and required uniform.
