Job Summary:
The Team Leader plays a vital role in driving daily production success and fostering a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. This role leads by example to promote safety, 5S standards, and positive team dynamics while supporting team members through change and development. Acting as the first point of contact for minor workplace issues, the Team Leader collaborates across departments to ensure smooth operations, meets production goals, and maintains high-quality standards. They champion fairness and inclusivity, use key performance data to guide improvement, and embody Bullard’s LEAD competencies to empower and align their team with business objectives.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 5:45am-4:30pm and overtime as needed
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead and champion safety efforts within the area by consistently modeling safe work practices, enforcing safety policies, and fostering a safety always work culture. Actively identify and address safety risks and ensure compliance with all company and regulatory safety standards.
- Lead and promote a clean, organized, and efficient work environment by actively enforcing 5S principles and standards.
- Conduct routine audits, such as Layered Process Audits (LPA) and 5S audits.
- Lead daily start up and production activities in the assigned area to support business production and sales goals.
- Act as the first point of contact for team members by confidently resolving minor policy or interpersonal issues within the area, while recognizing when to escalate more significant or sensitive matters to the Group Leader for resolution.
- Understand and communicate key safety, quality, and production metrics and issues during daily production meetings, identifying and coordinating corrective action with leaders as needed.
- Collaborate closely with Production Associates, Group Leaders, Engineers, Purchasing, and other departments to coordinate materials, implement process improvements, troubleshoot issues, and support smooth operations.
- Verify production output matches order specifications and conduct required product testing.
- Provide informal coaching and share best practices to support team member development and skill-building.
- Assist in training team members and provide production coverage when needed.
- Promote positive working relationships within the team, proactively addressing minor conflicts and encouraging collaboration to maintain a supportive work environment.
- Lead by example and support team members through change by demonstrating adaptability, staying positive during shifting production demands, priorities, and challenges, and helping others navigate transitions smoothly.
- Foster a fair, respectful, and inclusive work environment by treating all team members equitably, applying policies consistently, and ensuring decisions are based on objective criteria and team needs.
- Utilize relevant computer systems, software, and apps (i.e. EASE, MS Outlook, MS Excel, Kinetic, and other manufacturing tools) tools proficiently to support accurate tracking, reporting, and communication of production data.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness in documentation and reporting tasks associated with production, quality, and safety metrics.
- Exercise sound judgment and discretion when handling team member interactions and information shared at this role level, maintaining appropriate confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

- This position is based at our Cynthiana, KY facility
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Experience:
- Two years of production experience, preferred
- Previous leadership experience
